Imported records and synchronization

Caution! (Applies to records imported with iMIS Importer, NRDS, or any other import method) Due to the complexities of phone/e-mail synchronization, synchronization will only work one way from Name to Name_Address, and not from Name_Address to Name.

If you are importing data and using synchronization, the imported phone, fax, and e-mail data must be imported directly to the Name table. If updates are made directly to the Name_Address table through an import and you are synchronizing data, the Name_Address phone, fax, or e-mail value will immediately be overwritten by the current Name value, even if the Name value is blank.
