The iMIS 15 architecture comprises a single database server, ASP.NET web applications that can be spread across one or more application servers (appservers), and two different types of clients. The two clients run on typical desktop workstations.
If you are installing the optional iMIS Analytics product, you might choose to put the Analytics data warehouse and analysis database on the same database server as your iMIS database, or you can choose to put them on a separate database server.
The system requirements are listed separately for the iMIS application server, the database server, and the workstations on which iMIS clients are installed. If you choose to install an iMIS appserver onto the same host as your database server, make sure the host meets all of the necessary requirements for both the appserver and the database server.
