Rapid data entry for donors and gifts

A new user interface has been added for Rapid Gift Entry in iMIS 15.0. This window provides a spreadsheet-based entry screen, rather than just a single-entry screen. For ease of use, the user can set up field defaults and can specify the number of rows created for each entry. This enhancement also includes mouse-less data entry features and keyboard shortcuts. Access to Rapid Gift Entry will be based on the same level of security used for Enter and edit gifts, but the security will be controlled using .NET security.

Keyboard shortcuts for Rapid Gift Entry

Once your cursor is in the table, you can complete data entry without using the mouse:

• Tab – moves from left to right
• Enter on an icon pops up the needed window (Search or Add donor information)
• Arrow Down – moves the user to the donor id field at the start of the next row
• Alt+S – submits the batch to iMIS
