New Public view
A basic iMIS installation now automatically installs an entirely new ASP.NET application that enables you to integrate the new Public view of Orders, Events, Billing and Customer Management into your website. This includes the following features:
- Searchable contact directories and self-service contact record updates.
- Searchable Events displayed in either a list or calendar format.
- Multi-step self-service registration wizard that allows users to register themselves and guests.
- New web event registration process accessible through the Public view of iMIS. The registration process is defined in the iMIS Events module, and includes options to create multiple event tracks and questionnaires for gathering additional demographics and information during event registration.
- Ability for one member to register others in their company.
- iMIS-managed products in the online store and self-service shopping cart/basket checkout.
- New flexibility to categorize products and create a categorization hierarchy.
- Cross-market and cross-sell inventory management.
- Individual product groups within iMIS displayed online as a single product with additional attributes like size and color. Provides ease in managing items like apparel when more than one size and color is available.
- Extensible payment options allow you to integrate different payment providers so other providers can be accepted.
- Administrators now have a centralized interface to manage all configuration variables.
- Visitors can register themselves for your organization and create both an iMIS contact record and a user logon.
- Elements of the Public view can be dispersed throughout your website using an XML sitemap or through Content Manager.
The new Public view is an alternative to older e-Series functionality, but if you have an existing e-Series implementation you can still carry forward your e-Series code and content.
Note: The Public view functionality does not correspond one-to-one with e-Series functionality, and it does not support accrual dues processing in this release of iMIS.
